Mourinho’s Odds Drift Following Recent Form

Last month Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho was
11/10 favourite to be the next manager out the door in the Premier League and
1/3 to be sacked by Christmas.

The former Chelsea boss was under immense pressure
following draws at home to Wolves and Valencia, as well as, a shock EFL Carabao
Cup exit to Frank Lampard’s Derby County and a defeat to Premier League
strugglers West Ham.

It was reported that no matter what the outcome in
their game at home to Newcastle, the Portuguese manager would be shown the
door, however, Man United came from two goals down against the Magpies to win
3-2 and Mourinho lived to fight another day.

The Red Devils have lost just once in
their last five and that was at home to Juventus in the Champions League. They
are currently on a three-game win streak following their shock win away to the
Old Lady last night.

Cristiano Ronaldo fired home a lovely volley in the
65th minute to put Juventus into the lead, however, Juan Mata curled a
brilliant free-kick over the wall to equalise 86 minutes in, before United
somehow scrambled a winner four minutes later, which went down as a Leonardo

the 55-year-old is now 10/1 to be the next Premier League manager shown the

Meanwhile, Fulham gaffer Slavisa Jokanovic is now the
front-runner at 4/6 as his Fulham side have failed to win in their last eight.

Jokanovic’s side travelled to Huddersfield on Monday night
for a crucial relegation battle, however, the Cottagers suffered a dire 1-0
defeat as the Yorkshire side picked up their first win of the season.

Things aren’t going to get any easier for the Serbian
as his men face Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday and Jurgen Klopp’s side will be looking to
bounce back from their embarrassing 2-0 defeat away to Red Star Belgrade in the
Champions League.
